Tome of Outerah is an open-source project which takes place in the universe of Outerah. Everyone is free to create their own work for it and own what they have made!
You also are granted limited rights to use any of the already created copyright materials found on this website (see below) for Tome of Outerah (such as the characters, monsters, servants, planets, quests, items, equipment, unique races, and spells). Legionmode Outerah owns the copyright of these things.
You are free to:
- Share—copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
- Adapt—remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially. The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the licensed terms.
- This can include your very own featured novel, Saga or even an Expansion Pack to publish, featuring your very own characters, planets, quests, classes, races, and skills others can use for their own Sagas with their friends.
Under the following terms:
- Attribution—You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
- Being showcased on the Verified Contributors Page requires the project to be substantial and be a quality product such as a novel, an Expansion Pack or game (not shovel-ware). This page also will list all approved Tome of Outerah sellers of its copyright material. However, this page doesn’t mean the original creator of Outerah endorses, or will be held accountable for your creations legally, especially since what is shown to me can be in part or even changed in the future with certain medians. All local laws should be followed, and you will hold Legionmode Outerah harmless of any legal repercussions.
- ShareAlike—If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.
- No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
No warranties are given, and you hold harmless the original creators of Tome of Outerah under an indemnification clause for any work which is created by you, the third party. The license may not give you all of the permissions necessary for your intended use. For example, other rights such as publicity, privacy, your local laws, or moral rights may limit how you use the material.
The copyright of Tome of Outerah, including its characters, content, and music belong to me. That said, this series is supported by players and contributors like you. (Thank you!). Uploading material on your homepage, selling merchandise on a small scale (such as artwork for your friends or otherwise at your own expense), or creating materials such as short fan stories, comics, cosplay items for events like LARP, or customizing Tome of Outerah how you see fit for your Sagas you do not need to notify me or request my permission. The copyright of derivative works belong to the creators of said derivatives. If there is trouble regarding the derivatives of my work, I cannot take responsibility.
To avoid trouble, please satisfy the following conditions.
- Use of a copyright character should be taken in full (name, appearance, personality if applicable).
- Content that includes inflammatory material towards us or other copyright owners is forbidden.
- Attribute us. (Link or otherwise label the merchandise as “Tome of Outerah”.
- If possible, please include our contact information. (recommended)
- Please do not mistake the names of the game characters, planets or other units.
- For the commercial production of derivative material, or the mass circulation of derivative material, you must seek my permission. This includes publishing Tome of Outerah copyright content on sites or stores both physical or virtual such as a video game being sold, or a novel using the setting and characters. In these cases you must notify me for approval, and more than likely you will have your work added to the site’s contributors page! Note: You do not need to do so for articles or (YouTube) videos showcasing Outerah in part or whole.
- If you did not satisfy the above conditions but received my permission, please make clear that you have received my permission.
Otherwise, decisions like for sale or for free, how many to print, the price to sell them at, adult only or not, original settings or not, is entirely free for you to choose. However, if I see material that I decide to not fulfill the above conditions, I have the right to stop its distribution.
