Halflings are a broad term that describes any half breeds which exist within Outerah. Not all races are able to breed with one and other, and some races are unable to breed at all. Races that can intermingle are divided into the two human families, originating from the two human subtypes: adept and barg. Races which don’t fit within these two evolutionary groups cannot be halflings. Halflings are rare in Outerah. While cross-breeding is possible and present within the universe, fertility between comparable races is much lower than between those of the same race.

The Human Tree:

Humans have been in Outerah since the very beginning.  The creation and destruction counterparts of humans diverged evolution into two main categories which other races came to be… Adeples and Bargistans.  Halflings are races which have parents between two different races.  However, halflings are limited due to the evolution trees.  Adeples can only pair with other Adeples while Bargistans can only pair with other Bargistans.

Adeples consist of races which give birth to live young with a longer gestation period.  These beings have greater intellectual capacity, less body hair, and look closer to their human counterparts than Bargistans.  These races include Angelarians, Goblins, Humans (Adepts), Orcks, and Stoutlings.  While human evolution was not the cause of the races of Orgarges, these races can also mate with other adeples… Drevols, Humenborgs, and Vamperurs.

Bargistans initially evolved into more animalistic beings, such as Kitsoo as they gained fur.  From Kitsoo, the divergence created races which gave birth by hard or soft eggs.  These beings are closer to monsters, having sharper senses, and most have some type of scales or fur.  These races include Dragons, Fairies, Finnzels, Humans (Barg), and Kitsoo.  While human evolution was not the cause of the races of Orgarges, these races can also mate with other bargistans… Egualozes, Jaymians, and Slizzix.

Halfling Skills

Halflings roll a dice in each category listed below to see which parent has their dominant genetics and which is recessive.  An even results in the female being dominant while an odd has the male as dominant.  The breaks, vision, size, life expectancy, and additional body parts, such as claws or wings, all depends on your dominant parent.
